Project Management, Equipment & Commissioning

Technical guidance from specification through acceptance and start-up.

Where we help

Equipment and supplier selection, tender review, factory extensions, installation coordination and production start-up.

Typical scope

User requirement specifications (URS); technical tender documents; equipment sizing and bid comparison; CAPEX review and technical negotiation; FAT and SAT plans; installation supervision; cold/hot commissioning, performance trials and handover documentation.

What you receive

A technical evaluation, decision register, acceptance criteria, punch list, commissioning plan and handover record, as agreed.

Coverage areas

  • Engineering & Projects

Technical & product areas

Detailed scope

  1. Requirements and procurement

User requirement specifications (URS), equipment datasheets, tender documents and supplier shortlists for processing, cooking, filtration, filling and utility systems.

  2. Technical and commercial evaluation

Compare vendor proposals against capacity, hygiene, controls, utilities, maintenance, warranty and lifecycle cost; document technical exceptions and support negotiations.

  3. Project coordination

Track interfaces between civil works, process equipment, utilities, automation and installation contractors; maintain scope, schedule, budget and risk registers.

  4. Acceptance and start-up

Define and witness FAT and SAT where contracted; supervise installation checks; plan cold and hot commissioning, product trials, capacity/performance testing and operator handover.

  5. Handover

Compile punch lists, as-built and operating documents, acceptance results, training needs and outstanding actions. PrimeTech’s contractual role is defined per project, rather than presumed to be EPC construction.

  6. Vendor document review

Review general arrangements, P&IDs, electrical and control schematics, utility schedules, material certificates, manuals, spare-parts lists and maintenance requirements against the agreed URS.

  7. Test and qualification strategy

Define mechanical completion, functional testing, utilities checks, safety interlocks, cleaning trials, product trials and performance acceptance with measurable criteria and responsibilities.

  8. Production ramp-up

Coordinate operators, quality, maintenance and suppliers during first batches; stabilize recipes and operating parameters and close defects before final acceptance.

  9. Commercial and change control

Record deviations, variation requests, supplier actions, schedule risks and payment/acceptance milestones for client decisions.
