Dairy Factory Design & Engineering
Plan facilities around the product, process, people and future capacity.

PrimeTech supports investors and manufacturers in developing technically sound food-production projects and improving existing facilities. Our engineering approach is centered on practical flow, hygienic design, efficient use of space and utilities, production flexibility and future growth.
Where we help
New factories, expansions, layout reviews, raw milk reception, processing and filling areas, cold storage and warehousing.
Typical scope
Design basis and capacity planning; process flow diagrams (PFDs) and scoped P&IDs; hygienic zoning and personnel/material flows; line balancing and mass/energy balance; steam, refrigeration, chilled water, compressed air, process water and wastewater requirements.
What you receive
A documented design basis, layout and flow recommendations, equipment and utility requirements, and an engineering action list.

Detailed scope
Concept and process engineering
Product portfolio and design capacity; raw-milk reception, storage and process routing; PFDs and scoped P&IDs; mass and energy balances; process line sizing and future expansion allowances.
Hygienic plant layout
Separation of raw and finished-product flows; personnel and material movement; process, filling and packaging rooms; hygienic zoning according to product risk and applicable standards; cleaning and maintenance access.
Cold chain and storage
Cold rooms, freezers, finished-product storage and raw-material and packaging warehouses; temperature requirements, handling routes and capacity planning.
Utility requirements
Technical load assessment for steam and hot water, refrigeration and ice/chilled water, compressed air, process and CIP water, electrical power and wastewater.
Facility development
Support for greenfield factories, brownfield extensions, line upgrades and independent review of an existing design.
Detailed equipment and piping interfaces
Equipment footprints, maintenance clearances, pipe-routing philosophy, drains, material compatibility, hygienic connections and cleanability reviews; detailed drawings and design sign-off are assigned to the appropriate qualified discipline.
Packaging and logistics flow
Packaging-material reception, storage, line feeding, finished-goods transfer, pallet handling, dispatch routes and the interfaces between production and refrigerated distribution.
Controls and instrumentation basis
Process measurements, control points, alarm philosophy, PLC/SCADA requirements, data capture and traceability interfaces defined early enough to inform procurement.
Project readiness and phasing
Buildability, installation access, tie-ins to an operating factory, shutdown windows, commissioning sequence and room for future products or additional lines.
